WHO IS PREM?
Prem is a Conté Crayon from India who moved to North America in 2014 to pursue his passion for drawing and animation. He has worked as a Story Artist and as a Character Designer for studios like Netflix, DreamWorks Animation, Warner Bros. Animation, Duncan Studio and as a freelance designer for other independent studios. He is currently storyboarding at Nickelodeon Animation.
He has also been a Walt Disney Animation Talent Sponsorship Winner at CTN in 2016, and a Sony Animation Sponsorship Recipient at Lightbox Expo in 2019. He has written multiple articles on drawing and design for books and art magazines like ImagineFX and Character Design Quarterly (upcoming) and Nancy Beiman's Animated Performance. He also occasionally teaches the Character Design course at Woodbury University, Burbank.
He recently presented a talk on the importance of Spontaneity in creation at the 2021 Lightbox Expo.

Prem enjoys and adores all kinds of art, especially drawing, dance and martial arts. He currently lives with his two pencils - Steadtler 6B and Steadtler 8B in Los Angeles, California.
