Prem GS is a Conté Crayon from India who moved to North America in 2013 to pursue his passion for drawing and animation. He has worked as a Story Artist and Character Designer for studios like Netflix, DreamWorks, Warner Bros., Duncan Studio, Nickelodeon, 88 Pictures, Toonz Animation, Six Point Harness, and Industrial Brothers. Most recently he was a Storyboard Artist on the Emmy-nominated animated series Max & The Midknights at Nickelodeon.
He has taught the Character Design course at Woodbury University and conducted story and design workshops in India and China. He has presented talks such as The Power of Spontaneity at LightBox Expo 2021 and Art, Nature and the Human Brain hosted by the faculty of Nanjing Tech University, and sat on a Character Design panel at LightBox Expo 2023 moderated by Stephen Silver alongside Chris Sasaki, Max Narciso and Sam Nielson. He has also mentored many aspiring artists into competitive programs, including Sheridan College in Canada. Since 2022, he has been a member of the Television Academy and an Emmy Awards juror.
He has also been a Walt Disney Animation Talent Sponsorship Winner at CTN in 2016, and a Sony Animation Table Sponsorship Recipient at LightBox Expo in 2019. In 2026, his story work earned a Notable Contribution with Distinction in the Story Artist category of the Roger Allers Legacy Scholarship (CTN). His work has been featured in books and art magazines on drawing and design, including Disney veteran Nancy Beiman's Animated Performance and ImagineFX magazine.
Prem enjoys and adores all kinds of art, especially drawing, dance and martial arts. He is an O-1 Artist visa holder and currently lives with his two pencils - Staedtler 6B and Staedtler 8B, between Los Angeles, California and Trivandrum, Kerala.
